News for May 2022

1.  Our next workshop will be on Saturday 7th May and we will cover Laojia, Xinjia or Dajia forms plus Straight Sword 10.00am-1.00pm.
As usual we’ll start the day with a warm-up and our foundation exercises (Jiben Gong, Zhan Zhuang and Chan Si Gong).

Our workshops are open to all our students regardless of experience.
Fees are as follows:
One hour £15
Two hours £20
Three hours £25

2. The MS Centre has now opened up the Wednesday evening class to non-members; the class fee is £8.00, £7.00 for members of the Centre.  Annual membership is only £20.

3. We’re all taking a break in May, so all classes are cancelled during week commencing 9th May.  Returning to our normal schedule from Monday 16th May.

4.  Tai Chi in the Park returns and will be held in the St Thomas Pleasure Ground 11.30am-12.15pm with Helen.  Park sessions will be held on Tuesday 17th, 24th and 31st May. These sessions are being delivered as part of the Naturally Healthy May campaign run by Active Devon.

Tai Chi for Mental Wellbeing

Working with the mental health charity; Sport in Mind, we’re delighted to be bringing you a free and accessible class for anyone with mental health problems.

Studies have shown the benefits to be gained in the regular practice of Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises for mental health as well as physical health.

Everyone welcome to attend.

Indoor Classes to restart

We’re delighted to announce that indoor classes will recommence from w/c 7th June at the St Thomas Centre, Church Road, Exeter EX4 1AP.

Monday 10.30am-11.30am with Jessica (£6.50)

Tuesday 10.00am-11.15am with Tom & Helen (£7.00)

Tuesday 6.30pm-8.00pm with Tom & Helen (£7.50)

Our monthly Saturday workshops will also commence from 3rd July, 10.00am-2.00pm initially.
